2016: Dogfish Head vs Blue Earl

Now in our Quarterfinal Round, Dogfish Head faces off against Blue Earl. Both earning votes in the two-hundreds, Dogfish Head and Blue Earl demolished their opponents (16 Mile and Sixpoint, respectively) in two landslide victories. The only question is: which brewery will win this round?

Dogfish Head

With 21 different beer styles to go with their 21 years in the industry, Dogfish Head grew from a humble brewpub into a national brewery. Dogfish Head as promised to bring Alternate Takes #1 to the Brewfest this year. Alternate Takes #1 is a Double IPA with a deep golden hue and notes of aromatic tropical fruits -pineapple, papaya, passion fruit- and a malty, apricot sweetness with each sip. Blue Earl

Blue Earl Brewing Company was established in 2014 (by far one of the youngest on this bracket). Founded by Ronnie “Blue” Earl Price, Blue Earl features 12 diffeent styles of beer from around the world. 2016 is their first Brewbracket appearance, though Blue Earl Beers were very present at the 2015 Odessa Brewfest.
