Take the 5, to the 505, to the 80.... sorry, we're just trying to get our Californian on. Today's second round brewbracket match-up features two stalwarts of the California craft beer scene.

Sierra Nevada, of course, is Sierra Nevada—the beer British suds guru Michael Jackson was praising way back in the 1980s, when the American craft beer industry was just a glimmer in a few bearded dudes' eyes.

Lagunitas has been brewing since '93—and like Sierra Nevada is one of the biggest craft brewers in the USA. It makes news for its creative takes on traditional beer styles, such as the recently released Lagunitas Sucks (yes, that is the name of the beer) ale.
