The Historic Odessa Brewfest is an annual beer festival jam packed with everything you could want -- refreshing drinks, great music, local food and much more! Yet the Historic Odessa Brewfest has more surprises than your typical beer festival, so here's ten things to look out for this year.
1. A Historical Reenactment of 18th Century Craft Brewing
Beer and history -- how could you ever get a better combination? If you're a beer lover or history buff, Richard Wagner's colonial brewing demonstration using 18th century techniques is a must-see. Wagner presents 18th century brewing methods in a historically accurate manner from start to finish, including the use of copper kettles and wooden barrels to transform hops and grains into period brews. He even utilizes sunlight to measure cooking times, while in full period dress.
2. Historic Odessa's Beautiful Gardens & Grounds
Set on the Historic Odessa Foundation's grounds, the Odessa Brewfest is the perfect opportunity to see the beautiful historical houses and gardens in person. Be sure to check out the Corbit-Sharp House Colonial Revival garden designed by H. Rodney Sharp, and the Collins-Sharp House garden planted with heirloom plants typically used in the 18th century for culinary, medicinal and decorative use.
3. Voting in the #OdessaBrewbracket

The First State is a "hop-bed" of craft brewing. Some of the finest beer in the world is brewed within its borders. This is evident at the Odessa Brewfest, which is always host to some of Delaware's finest beers! This year 15 Delware breweries have already commited to attend.
