The sixth annual Historic Odessa Brewfest is returning to the First State on Saturday, Sept. 7 from noon-6 p.m. at the historic Wilson-Warner House in Odessa. The yearly event raises money for the Historic Odessa Foundation, a non-profit organization that preserves the legacy of the Historic Houses of Odessa.

The cost of the festival is $55 for general admission, $70 for VIP and $15 for designated drivers. Tickets buy an unlimited sampling of beer for the full duration of the event, according to the event's website. A selection of craft beers from over 50 regional and national brewers such as local favorites like Dogfish HeadTwin LakesRevelationBig OysterBellefonte and more will be available on site. The event will also feature artisan vendors, locally sourced food from Cantwell’s Tavern and The Roaming Raven food truck, plus live music. Performers include reggae evangelist Spokey Speaky, blue collar rock group Shotgun Betty, solo artist Tony Mowen and musician Charlie Hannagan.

This year’s brewfest will debut the Fusion Beer Mile. Registration for the beer mile is $25, and participants will receive a Fusion Beer Mile finisher medal, 4 beers (to drink while running the mile!) and other awards based on racing speed. Beer mile participants will receive a $5 discount on tickets to the Historic Odessa Brewfest.

Historic Odessa is on the National Register of Historical Places and is home to the Corbit-Sharp House, a National Historic Landmark. The Historic Houses of Odessa are a 72-acre enclave of 18th- and 19th-centurybuildings and structures, and feature a collection of over 7000 objects from Delaware’s colonial period.
