2015: Dogfish Head vs Tall Tales

We're deep into DelMarVa Country for the final matchups in our regionals round of the Odessa Brewfest brewbracket. Today we feature what some have called the best beer in Maryland, Tall Tales, up against what some have called the best beer anywhere, Dogfish Head. 

Tall Tales brews up heady concoctions like Some Beach Island Ale, Excalibur IPA and Read Headed Step Child (an Irish red, naturally) from its home in Parsonsburg, MD. In addition to the beer, high praise has been given the outdoor seating, food and live music at the Tall Tales brewery, located on the way to Ocean City on Maryland's Eastern Shore. 

Also located on the way to the beach—Rehobeth, this time—is Dogfish Head. The brewing wizards of Milton, Del. have come up with some crazy brews over the years, from their Ancient Ales series to beers with colorful titles like Hellhound on My Ale. Prominent right now is American Beauty (on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of a certain San Fransisco band), but perennial favorites 90 Minute IPA and Namaste witbier always make beer lovers feel grateful.
