2019: Dedicated Fans Make Best Brewfest Yet

Gorgeous weather drew crowds of beer enthusiasts to Odessa, Delaware, on September 7, 2019 for the sixth annual Odessa Brewfest.

Amid the historic homes of this 18th century village, visitors enjoyed the local flavor, discussed their favorite brews, danced to live music, and perused local hand-crafted wares while admiring the beauty of the surroundings.

The Most Successful Year Yet

By attending this year's festival, over 2,200 festival-goers, vendors and volunteers helped raise money for the Historic Odessa Foundation to aid in the preservation and conservation of the town’s museum properties and historic colonial houses.

Bringing together one of Delaware’s best preserved historic sites and today’s heady passion for craft brews, the event featured unlimited sampling of award-winning beers and ciders from seventy-six craft breweries on the the storied grounds and lush gardens of Odessa, DE.

Those looking to go beyond beer sampled fine wines, popular hard seltzers, and local artisanal spirits from a variety of vendors from across the state and beyond.

Fresh Food

On top of an amazing beer selection, the Brewfest hosted an array of food vendors offering great snacks, including premium craft jerky and healthy snack mixes from Kinda Jerky Really Nutty; candy glazed popcorn, caramel corn, and Kettle-Korn made fresh by DelMarVa Popcorn & Nut Co.; and wearable pretzel necklaces and snacks from Phygit Foods.

Guests looking to eat a full meal also enjoyed crab cakes, tacos, and burgers from Cantwell’s Tavern and tater tots, pulled pork, and cheese steaks from Roaming Raven Food Truck.

Local Vendors

Guy and Lady Barrel’s alcohol-infused cigars proved popular once again this year, drawing a steady line of customers. Many patrons also admired fine hand-carved wooden art from local artisan Timber Fall Woodworking and growlers, wearables and beer-inspired accessories from Delaware Growler

Color StreetWix & Wax Co.Bel Boutique, and Element Tree Wellness also drew crowds interested in nail polish, jewelry and accessories, hand-crafted wax candles, and soap and skin care oils, respectively.

Live Music

Adding to the festival atmosphere was live music from reggae evangelists Spokey Speaky and blue collar rock band Shotgun Betty on the main stage; and versatile musician Charlie Hannagan and acoustic guitarist Tony Mowen performing on the garden stage.

Fusion Beer Mile

New to the Historic Odessa Brewfest this year was the Fusion Beer Mile, presented by Fusion Racing. Participants downed four beers over the course of the race around the historic property. All finishers received a Fusion Beer Mile medal before making their way into the Odessa Brewfest.
