Tröegs

Tröegs Independent Brewing

Tröegs Independent Brewing was founded in 1996 by brothers John and Chris Trogner. The first keg was sold to a local restaurant in Harrisburg on July 18, 1997. Tröegs is a family nickname, from the founders' surname Trogner. When combined with a Flemish word “Kroeg,” meaning "pub," we get Tröegs. In 2011, the brewery opened a new facility with two brewhouses, one for daily production and another smaller pilot brew system for research and development beers. The brewhouse is in the middle of the Tasting Room, which also features a Snack Bar. The Snack Bar was added to create food as original and interesting as the beer.
